Customer Service Representative – Logistics - AUBURN, WA $27 -$36/HR

Primary role is to support the logistics department’s suite of services, which includes working with customer internal and external in quoting, placing orders, support of tool programs, packaging & shipping tools/parts, tools/parts receiving, and assisting with facilities-related duties.

- Complete assigned work order tasks with supervision. Enter squawks and squawk resolutions ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting to the company standards. Enter parts requisitions while ensuring parts are requisitioned first from quantity on-hand, then after verifying nonstock parts, requisitioned for purchase. Return to stock unused part before squawk signoff. Enter parts, services, and labor estimates for all additional squawks and seek lead technician approval. Ensure timely signoff of completed squawks.
- Accurately report the status of assigned work order squawks. Communicate to the lead technician newly added squawks, parts issues, daily goals, and overall assignment status. Actively participate in morning stand-up hangar meetings by reporting the items above to the lead technician.
- Assist in the performance of general mechanical items on aircraft and related systems. This shall include, but not be limited to, items such as removal and installation of panels, components and engines, repair work and sheet metal repair or installation, troubleshooting and evaluation of systems, inspection and evaluation of aircraft and components, and performance of maintenance functions during ground runs on assigned aircraft.
- Make entries into work orders in accordance with 14 CFR § 43.9, 14 CFR § 43.11, 14 CFR § 91.416, Operators’ manuals, or Air Carriers’ manuals, as applicable.
- Perform aircraft fueling operations including fuel sampling and receiving of bulk fuel deliveries in accordance with the repair station fuel handling procedures.
- Accept mentorship and coaching from managers, lead technicians, and aircraft technicians and use the experience as an avenue of continuous professional improvement.
- Navigate airframe and engine maintenance manuals, maintenance manual libraries, SMS event reporting system, online safety data sheets (SDS), and the FAA website.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of quality assurance practices, quality control practices, and the repair station’s quality driven goals.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of safe work practices, safety management systems, and the repair station’s safety driven goals.
- Ensure that the facilities occupied by maintenance personnel, including rented and short-term facilities, are kept safe, clean and orderly.
- Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Collateral Duties
- Acquire and maintain serviceable a basic tool set relevant to current duties. The tool set shall include basic hand tools, an adequate tool storage mechanism and a tool bag for transporting and controlling tools while working on aircraft.
- Work toward meeting the eligibility, knowledge, experience, and skill requirements defined in 14 CFR § 65.71, 14 CFR § 65.75, 14 CFR § 65.77, and 14 CFR § 65.79 for FAA AMT licensing.
- Work toward achieving the ratings described in 14 CFR § 65.73 then exercise the privileges granted under 14 CFR § 65.81, 14 CFR § 65.85, and 14 CFR § 65.87 with supervision until the director of maintenance determines that the apprentice is ready for advancement.
- Seek active involvement in the safety management (SMS) and quality assurance processes by identifying opportunities for improvement and presenting those opportunities, with proposed changes, to the chief inspector.
- Maintain company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) in clean and serviceable condition.
- Perform maintenance and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling when required.
- Assist the Parts Department with maintaining inventory in the parts warehouse and floor stock areas.
Required Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an Aircraft Maintenance Technician School (AMT) authorized under in a 14 CFR Part 147 or has completed this school within the previous 12 months.
- Must be working towards certification with a reasonable goal to obtain certification.
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA regulated drug tests prior to start.
